Clark Estate Sauvignon Blanc 2008 (Case of 12 bottles) [CESVSB08] NZ$201.60 This premium single-vineyard wine is grown and produced by the Clark family from 10 year old vines planted on stony river gravels high in the Awatere Valley of Marlborough Challenged by rocky soil and strong winds, the vines respond with low yields of exceptional grapes that ripen slowly to develop intense flavours Aromas of green grass, tropical fruits and gooseberry are captured in the bottle and burst from the glass. Then the palate is full and fruity, balanced by crisp acidity and the distinctive mineral tone of the Awatere Valley, rounded off by with a long dry finish Enjoy on its own or with great food, especially seafood, chicken and pasta.
